iPod-tography: miss.bugs "parlour" at.the.brooklynite.gallery
miss bugs' "parlour" exhibition (06.25 - 07.16) at the brooklynite
gallery showcases the artists' alias, 'the madame,' which is not
bleak enough to be considered dystopian, but definitely borders on
macabre - haunting, distorted, mesmerizing and exotic.....

someone's got a sweet toof!!! hide yo wife! hide yo kids! hide yo candy! .....04.29.11 at factory fresh (click HERE for the official page)
this friday, april 29th, from 7 to 10 post-meridiem, veteran and endlessly evolving british graffiti artist, sweet toof, is coming to new york city. invading brooklyn's factory fresh gallery for his very first solo exhibition, dark horse, the artist will be kicking off the event with one of his new original series of works, sweet toof's trojan horse. according to factory fresh, "his characteristic dark gummy choppers are a true mash-up of street art and studio." i couldn't agree more.dark horse will be showing until may 22nd, wednesdays through sundays from 1 to 7p.m. come experience this anonymous face's constant dichotomy between horror and acceptance through his works, heavily and conspicuously influenced by 16th century europe's vanitas paintings, subway art, and el dia de los muertos. he will not disappoint, and it will be a great way to start your weekend.
